Yes, its an old building. However, its warm. You dont have to worry about freezing. The seats are old & sit 2 at a time, but theyre quite comfortable & cosy if youre not alone. Theres an elevator, if you dont want to take he stairs. We attended Jr B hockey games. It doesnt cost an arm & a leg to get in & the 50-50 draws are several hundred dollars. Far better than the new facility in Ancaster.
Older rink in downtown St Catharines. The sightlines are good so you are close to the action on the ice.
The arena is fine. The soup kitchen brings the street people into the area and is unfortunate for the people that live in the area. They throw garbage all over and are spaced out on drugs which the city still can't control. Just too many homeless everywhere in St. Catharines
It's getting old, so it's a cold, dirty building. Showers are disgusting, and the hot water is laughable, but the ice is generally okay.
Great place as far as old barns go. Bad part of town to bring your kids with homeless shelter and various drug users hanging around. Had a lacrosse tournament and was embarrassed for the city of St. Catharines.
