Very friendly on the phone and knowledgeable. He prepared a good quote. I went to the first address on Google maps the address was wrong. I go to the address on the website it's the Tim Hortons and Wendy's on Welland avenue. At the bottom on the email I noticed another company name. I googled that and it said they are renovating the kitchen but also didn't include an address. It's okay to have a kitchen that's not open to the public but this didn't give us confidence so we didn't book with him. So 3 stars for the communication and maybe it was just our paranoia.
James catered and delivered vegetarian meals and snacks for 12 people with a variety of food sensitivies and allergies for 5 days. He was professional and personable and very easy to communicate with. The food was very satisfying for all of us. We will definitely use him again when we're back in that area.
Would have left zero stars if it was an option. The owner was slow, unresponsive and missed commitments as we were organizing the event which I felt indicated a problem and I should have gone with something different. Driver arrived and delivered a bunch of raw meat and vegetables not our order. Then he could not get hold of anyone to figure out what was happening. Finally spoke with the owner. Some of what we ordered was there but certainly not what we were expecting. Food was mediocre at best and completely cold (again not what we were told). The owner did not charge us for the food and while I accepted that it was not what we wanted. We wanted our order as requested and committed and we of course would pay for that. Will never contact or use this company again and would not recommend them.
James and his staff were wonderful. From our first phone call, to our tasting and the day of, he was great. We had a backyard wedding with 70 guests and his team executed the dinner flawlessly. Our guests could not stop raving about the quality of food. 10/10 would recommend for your special day!
Attended a wedding recently that was catered by this company. Never had such a bad experience at a wedding as I did here. All the tapas were cold. The Nashville Chicken sliders had such an itsy bitsy piece of chicken on it that all you could taste was the bun. The beef sliders were dry as well as the beef carpaccio on a crostini. Cold sweet potato wedges. The shrimp flavor was ok but cold. Cold doughy arancini balls. The only item I enjoyed were the bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños. But the guest beside me had no stuffing in his at all. I was embarrassed for the bride and groom. I talked to many of the guests because I thought it may just have been me or our table and the response was the same. I felt embarrassed for the bride and groom. To pay so much for catering and to have so much disappointment. In my personal opinion would not recommend. The staff on the floor were friendly for the 2 stars.
Enjoyed a small tapas event while on holidays catered by Heat is On — Hannah is a hospitality pro!!! She went over all the details when she arrived and took care of everything. Chef James couldn’t make it to our event personally but ensured everything was absolutely perfect and was a great communicator. Highly recommend.
Really disappointed in our experience with this catering company. What seemed like a great small business to support ended up being a very unresponsive vendor who refused to credit us for the deposit we made on the catering we had to cancel due to COVID-19. With plenty of options I would find another one, unless you like being kept in the dark until their is no recourse for the money you thought you were investing in a great entrepreneur.
