Cant say enough positive things about the Lincoln County Humane Society and their vet clinic! If you love and cherish your pet and dont have a lot of money but want to give them the care they deserve; I highly recommend their vet clinic! The staff are amazing! Kind and understanding, they give you all of the info you need to make the best decisions for your pet. Their services are very affordable and they truly care for your pet.
I was looking for a lower cost vet. They seem to be really nice and competant here. I expected it to be a long wait for the appointment because they are non profit and a little cheaper but not at all. It is not as cheap as i had hoped. Mostly because of the medication prices, which are certainly not discounted as far as I can tell. As someone with more than one animal and 3 -4 stray cats I feed off the front porch (much to my neighbors consternation), I need good vet care at a reasonable price. I understand the money is going to a good cause, at least. Not to line a pocket. We can't really have humane treatment of animals without reasonable health care.
PEOPLE MUST GO THERE KNOWING THAT MY CAT, ACCORDING TO MY VET, LEFT THE CAT ADOPTION CENTRE SICK. i WAS TOLD TO TALK TO THE HUMANE SOCIETY ABOUT THEIR LIABILITY WHICH IS N O N E . THE REASON FOR THIS IS BCSE WE SIGNED THAT WE WOULD LIKELY HAVE A CAT WITH URI....FOR THE LESS SOPHISTICATED, LIKE MYSELF...THAT MEANS UPPER RESPIRATORY TRACK INFECTION AS A PRECURSOR TO FELINE HERPES AND SUCH...NICE, LOVELY, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL. AND OF COURSE, SHE'S WORTH THE EXTRA HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS AND YOU WILL PAY IT. JUST KNOW WHAT YOU ARE LIKELY IN FOR WHEN YOU WALK INTO THAT BUILDING.
Absolutely amazing service. The staff at LCHSAC is nothing short of spectacular. Not only are they caring and considerate and clearly passionate about their work but they're also understanding and patient. Also the costs are unbelievably cheaper than what you would find at another vet. Dr Lindsay Davis is by far the best vet that the Niagara Region has and is highly skilled in not only dogs and cats but exotic animals as well - if you have a small animal you need to see her, she is THE vet to go to. I cannot express enough my gratitude to this facility.
Adopted a very adorable cat. He did not work with our existing cats at home. My wife and I did not want to take it back to the shelter so we found a great home which is a very close friend of ours, so we can go and see him when everybody we want to. We tried to adopt another cat and we were denied due to giving the cat away but the volunteers and counter help were fantastic. The adoption policies are a major joke. (The shelter thinks they still own the animal even after you adopt it). The operation manager should be fired as well as she talked to my wife on the phone like she is a morion and basically said we were cruel to the cat for giving it away and we should have just kept the cat locked up 24-7 and got her( my wife) so upset my wife ended up blacking out.
