Nice rooms, new floors and decor. Needs more tlc to be a 5 as the room has numerous things needing attention.
My husband and I spent Labor Day weekend here visiting family and friends. It was such a nice place. It looks like it was recently remodeled, and it looked great. Room was very clean, and bigger than we thought. The AC worked great, and the tv was a nice sized flat screen (2 important factors for my husband haha). The staff we spoke to was very nice, and made check in and out quick and easy. We felt safe having our car out front overnight, the only hoodlum around our car was a friendly (slightly chunky) white cat who in the dark almost gave my a heart attack. We look forward to staying again and every time we return to visit!
Im very sorry to write this review but, this was the WORST motel I have ever stayed at because:1) We had a reservation. Gentleman tried to charge us $179.00 per night but, in the end charged us 129.00.2) Ceiling in the bathroom leaked all over the bathroom during the night before we checked out. We told the woman the next morning but, she tried to accuse us of leaving the shower curtain out of tub.3) All the steel in bathroom was rusted.4) Bathtub looked like it was never cleaned.5) Bed was horrible. Woke up and couldn't move.6) Walls looked like they were stained in cigarette smoke. Needs to be painted.7) Had dark tile like floors. I was walking with no shoes or socks on. My feet were BLACK!!!!8) We turned heat on and all we could smell was cigarette smoke.9) Flies and bugs all over in the room.10) Some guys were revving their van up and yelling right outside my door. We ordered a pizza and even the delivery man was scared!11) We stayed for 2 nights. No one came to give clean towels or make the bed or anything.12) The towels were so small, I had a hard time drying my hair let alone my body!13) At 4:00 in the morning, someone flushed a toilet or was running water and then we heard the pipes vibrating and making a horrible, loud sound.My husband and I travel for 6 months of the year, so we've stayed in many motels throughout Ontario. I looked at internet and loved the pictures it showed. I was sadly mistaken!!!!!! I would like some kind of compensation for the almost $300 we spent on this room. So what are you going to do????The location is great. Its right off the QEW but it is awkward to get to. I not sure how someone can charge 129.00 for a room that someone would usually spend 60.00 for.I see some people loved their rooms. Maybe some rooms may have been renovated but, ours surely was not. We have no problem paying for a room but, paying so much for this room, we should of went toThe Oakes Overlooking the Falls at a comparable value and extreme comfort!!!!!!!
I have stayed here on numerous occasions and have enjoyed my stay every time. The staff is helpful at all hours of the night and the central location is close to the highway both Toronto and Niagara bound. Rooms are clean. Thank you for the comfort in the times im away from home.
Not at all impressed. From the mandatory $200 deposit on check-in to the 6 a.m waterfall from the room above. We booked here as it was the only place available to us in the area 3 months beforehand. Both days of our stay the ice machine wasn't working "today". The linoleum floors had little gravelly bits so socks were out of the question. Shoes only. Not much on cleanliness with visible mop marks on the bathroom floor and chipped paint everywhere. We had to ask to have the air turned on. Noisy neighbors. Large puddles in the parking area despite new asphalt. Crazy place to access when driving in for the first time. Only bright spot was the friendly and open staff.
